Our People

Banister’s success can be attributed to our experienced and dedicated employees who have contributed to building pipelines that supply energy across Canada and into the U.S. Banister’s leadership team takes pride in the work that we do and the people we have developed over the years who continue to strengthen our reputation and brand across all markets that we serve.

Our teams have extensive experience dealing with challenging terrain and weather extremes in both urban and rural settings. By applying the latest technologies and innovative construction techniques Banister teams deliver exceptional quality and productivity results on every project. Banister has long been recognized as a leader in in the Canadian pipeline sector based on the strength of its people.

Banister seeks out win-win opportunities by working with local and Indigenous communities wherever we operate. Through direct hire and subcontracting opportunities we enhance the capabilities and skills of companies and workers in the vicinity of our projects.

Working closely with Indigenous communities helps to educate us on unique attributes of their traditional territories and specific requirements so that we may incorporate their concerns into our construction plans.

To ensure that we can sustain our performance into the future we recognize the need to develop the next generation of pipeliners. Through on the job training and mentoring programs we are passing this knowledge on to those who will be carrying the torch going forward. As our original Banister Credo states “Our greatest strength is people”. This philosophy still rings true today. To achieve exceptional results we need talented people.
